Blog Jobs

Question #1
The answer is a resounding YES! Thousands of people get paid to blog every day and you could do it too - even if you don’t have any writing experience at all.

You may not be aware that Today.com is a blogging network comprised of hundreds of people who get paid to write about topics they are passionate about. When I joined Today.com a few months ago I expected my experience to be similar to what I had seen on other blog networks and to say that I have been tremendously surprised would be an understatement.

Question #2

One of my favorite things about the Today.com network is that I don’t have a set schedule and no one tells me what or when to write. The only rules are that your posts be over 100 words (which is about two paragraphs of text) and that the content be original and not copyrighted. You choose the topic and then you write about it when you want to.

As a full-time freelance writer I can tell you that being paid to write is not always as glamorous and laid back as many people would have you believe. There are often impossible deadlines to keep that don’t care what is going on in your personal life. Writing for Today.com has allowed me to be paid writing about a topic I love and it has given me the flexibility to write whenever it is convenient for me.

Question #3
The amount you will be paid as a new blogger at Today.com will be discussed with you privately by the company, but you are eligible to be paid for up to one post per day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The most convenient payment option is Paypal, and payments are usually received by the 10th of the month.
Question #4
I thought you’d never ask! Applying for a paid blog is simple to do, but first you will need to do the following:

  • Come up with a unique niche topic that you are passionate about.

It helps if you have a good amount of knowledge but you don’t have to be any sort of expert so long as you know how to use the Internet to research. Just make it something you love to talk about and writing about it won’t be a problem for you later on.

  • Come up with a unique name for your site.

Each of the individual web sites in the Today network are named something like youruniquename.today.com.  This blog for example, is answers.today.comI had to come up with that.  Cool huh?  My other blog is frugalliving.today.com and I came up with that name too.  Get the point? When you apply you will be asked to do the same, so be thinking about it now.
